THIS 68-VIDEO COURSE INCLUDES:
Module #1 - 6 Videos
Key Doubles Concepts
There are several key concepts that you must acquaint yourself with that can apply to a variety of situations on the doubles court. These concepts include general net movement, shot selection strategy and horizontal and vertical shading. These 7 lessons are essential and will carry extra meaning as you progress through the rest of the course.
Module #2 - 9 Videos
The Server Position
The server has the most control of any player on the tennis court. In this module I discuss the specific serves and service strategies that the best doubles players in the world put to use. In addition, I cover the basic roles and responsibilities that the server must know after hitting an effective serve.
Module #3 - 2 Videos
The Server's Partner Position
The server's partner plays a pivotal role in whether or not you're consistently holding serve as a doubles team. In this module I'll show you how to best position yourself to start each point. Then I demonstrate how to be appropriately active in order to put away tons of balls at the net. You'll be every server's best friend.
Module #4 - 5 Videos
The Returner Position
Successfully returning a serve in tennis is one of the hardest things to do in sports--and combine that with having to deal with an opposing net player--it can be even more of a burden. But fret not. In this module, I'll show you how to play against even the best of servers by using the same strategies and tactics the top returners in the world utilize.
Module #5 - 2 Videos
The Returner's Partner Position
The returner's partner is the most misunderstood position in doubles. What the returner's partner must do and what specific responsibilities they have are totally lost among most recreational players. In this module, I go in depth on what the returner's partner must do off both a good quality return and a less than stellar return.
Module #6 - 3 Videos
Serve Formations
There are three main service formations in doubles. In this module I start with the standard "one-up one-back formation", then I discuss both the “I” and “Australian” serve formations. I discuss how to best execute each formation, along with when to properly use them in your matches.
Module #7 - 2 Videos
Return Formations
There are also a few different formations that the return team can implement as well. In this module I cover the standard "one-up-one-back" formation, in addition to the "two-back" and "half-back" formations. All of these formations serve a specific purpose and we demonstrate the main benefits and potential drawbacks for each.
Module #8 - 3 Videos
Communicating With Partner
You and your partner must be on the same page. In this module, I cover how to always be in perfect communication with your partner. I’ve dedicated videos on what you should be discussing with your partner between points, how to communicate with your partner via hand signals, and even when and how you should communicate with your partner during the point.
Module #9 - 6 Videos
Poaching
Poaching can be a scary proposition for many players...but I'll help you overcome that. In this module I'll first show you how to perfectly time your poach. Then I look at the 3 different types of poaches that you can employ: "planned" poaching, "opportunity" poaching and "rogue" poaching. We’ll also look at poaching off a good return and also some common poaching scenarios.
Module #10 - 2 Videos
Utilizing The Lob
Lobbing in doubles can be extremely effective when used correctly...however if you lob at an ill-advised time the result can be disastrous. In this module I demonstrate exactly how and when to lob in doubles, how to quickly analyze and take appropriate action following your lob and also what role your partner plays when you execute a lob.
Module #11 - 3 Videos
Countering The Lob
Playing against the dreaded lobber can be a frustrating experience to say the least. In this module I demonstrate how you to anticipate the lob before it occurs, how you and your partner should move and communicate for the lob and how to crush the lob with an overhead. We also discuss how--in a worst-case scenario--you and your partner handle the lob by executing a switch.
Module #12 - 3 Videos
Countering Formations
What do you do when your opponents serve out of the “I” formation or the “Australian” formation? How do you handle when both opponents stand near the baseline? I’ll show you the best way to defeat all of these formations that your opponents might try against you.
Module #13 - 4 Videos
Countering Other Scenarios
There are a number of other situations that you've surely encountered on the doubles court. I’ll show you how to handle other scenarios such as how to handle when both of your opponents attack the net, how to play against a big server, how to deal with that great returner or how to keep a really active and aggressive net player in check.
Module #14 - 5 Videos
Common Doubles Mistakes
Sometimes watching someone make a mistake can help you avoid doing the same. In this module I dissect what I believe to be the 5 most common mistakes in doubles. We demonstrate these common blunders, I discuss why and how they happen and how you can best avoid committing these costly mental mistakes.
WHAT PREVIOUS CUSTOMERS HAD TO SAY:
"This must have been a HUGE undertaking! It took me a while to get through all the videos but I'm so glad I did. I feel like I have a much greater understanding of how to play doubles at a high level. Some of your instruction I was able to put to use right away while other times I'm realizing my bad habits (mistakes that I previously had no idea I was making) and trying to correct them. All in all I feel much more comfortable in the state of my doubles game. I'm already starting to beat teams I've NEVER beaten before. Thanks so much for this fantastic course!"
"Thank you very much for this opportunity Brady. There is no way I could have received this much coaching without spending much more on private lessons at my local club. Doubles can be a such a complex game so I loved how you broke down each area into easy to understand ideas. I can safely say that my level has improved immensely in just a few weeks time. I am finding that many more players around the club are willing to partner up with me. Thank you very much for all your great advice!"
